Response to Proposed Takeover by Mercantile Investment Company Ltd

EZA Corporation Limited (ASX: EZA, 'Company') refers to the proposed unsolicited off market takeover announced today by Mercantile Investment Company Ltd (ASX: MVT, 'Mercantile').

The Board is considering Mercantile's proposal and is not yet in a position to make a formal recommendation to shareholders. At an appropriate time the Board will make a further announcement to ASX concerning its recommendations in relation to the proposal.

The Board advises shareholders to TAKE NO ACTION until the Board has had an opportunity to consider Mercantile's proposal.
