CFO Mats Backman to leave Sandvik

Mats Backman, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, CFO, for Sandvik has decided to leave Sandvik to assume the equivalent position as CFO for the automotive safety supplier Autoliv. He assumes the position no later than 1 June 2016. The process to find a successor has been initiated.

• I'm grateful for Mats Backman's contributions and the role that he has played as a key member in the Group Executive Management. At the same time I'm pleased that Mats will ensure a successful transition to his successor. I wish Mats all the best in his new position, says Björn Rosengren, Sandvik's President and CEO.

Mats Backman has worked in Sandvik since 2007.
