SANDFIRE RESOURCES NL (ASX: SFR) RETRACTION OF 2 NOVEMBER 2009 POWERPOINT PRESENTATION ASX CONCERNED THERE IS NO REASONABLE BASIS FOR STATEMENTS IN BULLET POINTS 4 AND 5 AT SLIDE 15

After discussions with ASX, the Company is retracting the 2 November 2009 PowerPoint presentation entitled “Roadshow presentation for Canada, Germany and the UK”.

ASX has suggested the Company withdraw the statements in bullet points 4 and 5 at slide 15 of the presentation. That slide is headed “Conceptual Mine Development”. The bullet points state:

Bullet point 4: Potential 1-1.5Mtpa operation based on currently identified mineralisation

Bullet point 5: Broad widths and high grades of mineralisation point to attractive economics

ASX is of the view that drilling results alone cannot be said, in any circumstances, to constitute reasonable grounds for making a representation with respect to a future matter such as production tonnage potential or attractive economics in the absence of a JORC compliant resource or reserve (which Sandfire does not expect to have until the first quarter of 2010).
