Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (KS005930, KS005935, SMSN, SMSD) ("SEC") on April 29, 2021 announced

that its Board of Directors has authorized the following contribution to Ho-Am Foundation.

Contribution to Ho-Am Foundation

- SEC will contribute KRW 3.7 billion to the Ho-Am Foundation to be used for operational costs and

the presentation of the Ho-Am Prize. The prize is awarded for contributions of excellence within six fields-i.e.,

physics/math, chemistry/biology, engineering, medicine, art, and volunteering.
