SAMPO PLC STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT 8 October 2008 at 11.05 am YESTERDAY'S BOOK BUILD OFFERING ON SAMPO'S A SHARES The accelerated book build offering on 114,257,867 Sampo's A shares organised by Citigroup Global Markets Limited and Morgan Stanley & Co. International plc on behalf of Exista hf. was completed yesterday. According to the information Sampo has received the shares were purchased by more than 150 institutions, the vast majority of which is non-Finnish. In the transaction no investor was allocated more than 10 per cent of the shares sold.
