Salcef Group: major commercial successes in the Energy, Signalling & Telecommunication BU with new contracts worth over 360 million euros

Rome, 22 January 2024 – Salcef Group S.p.A. announces that its subsidiaries Salcef S.p.A., Euro Ferroviaria s.r.l. and Coget Impianti S.r.l. are ranked first or have already been awarded contracts, totaling 364 million euros, with national clients in the catenary, electrical substations, railway signaling and power transmission sectors. The awards, subject to the usual documentary checks, will lead to the signing of the respective contracts in the short term.

The biggest part of the new orders within the Italian railway network involves the maintenance and renewal of catenary as well as construction and maintenance of electrical substations in execution of three-year Framework Agreements, and the implementation of the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) on central Italy's railway lines.

Moreover: the municipality of Padua, through one of its controlled companies, has awarded a contract – funded with NRRP resources - for the construction of the new SIR2 tramway. Salcef S.p.A. is responsible for electrification and signaling activities within this project; The municipality of Naples has awarded Euro Ferroviaria s.r.l. with the contract for the supply and implementation of the signaling and telecommunication system for tramline no. 4; ASTRAL S.p.A., the company in charge of managing regional railway lines in the Lazio region, has awarded a contract for the construction of new electrical substations on the Rome-Viterbo line.

Lastly, Terna S.p.A. has awarded Coget Impianti with three Framework Agreements for the maintenance of overhead lines and for cables laying with related civil works, while the Austrian customer Tiroler Wasserkraft AG two contracts for the construction of new power lines.

These orders will significantly increase the volumes of the Group's Energy Business Unit, which at the 9M 2023 stage generated 76.4 million euros of revenues.
