Saipem S.p.A., in joint venture con Daewoo E&C Co. Ltd e Chiyoda Corporation, ha firmato una "lettera di intenti" relativa al Contratto EPC per il progetto Nigeria LNG Train 7
San Donato Milanese (Milano), 12 settembre 2019 - Saipem S.p.A., in joint venture con Daewoo E&C Co. Ltd e Chiyoda Corporation (Joint Venture SCD), informa di aver firmato ieri con Nigeria LNG Limited una "lettera di intenti" per confermare la Joint Venture SCD come preferred bidder e per comunicare la sua intenzione di assegnare alla stessa Joint Venture SCD, a seguito di un contratto FEED competitivo, il contratto Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) per il progetto Nigeria LNG Train 7.
L'aggiudicazione del contratto EPC è subordinata all'approvazione del consiglio di amministrazione e degli azionisti della Nigeria LNG Limited, all'approvazione di autorità governative o regolatorie, al raggiungimento di tutte le condizioni preliminari alla decisione finale di investimento da parte della Nigeria LNG Limited e alla firma di un contratto EPC vincolante tra le parti.
Con la firma della "lettera di intenti", Nigeria LNG Limited e i membri della Joint Venture SCD si sono impegnati a finalizzare il contratto EPC con riferimento alle proposte presentate dalla Joint Venture SCD, su base esclusiva.
L'oggetto delle attività incluso nelle proposte presentate dalla Joint Venture SCD comprende l'ingegneria, l'approvvigionamento e la costruzione di un treno completo e di una unità di liquefazione con una capacità totale di circa otto (8) MTPA, oltre ad altre opere connesse e infrastrutture.
La quota di Saipem nella Joint Venture SCD è di circa il 60%.

Saipem S.p.A. in joint venture with Daewoo E&C Co. Ltd and Chiyoda Corporation signed a "letter of intent" with respect to the EPC Contract of the Nigeria LNG Train 7
San Donato Milanese (Milan), September 12, 2019 – Saipem S.p.A. informs that yesterday Nigeria LNG Limited signed a "letter of intent" with Saipem S.p.A. in joint venture with Daewoo E&C Co. Ltd and Chiyoda Corporation (SCD JV), whereby Nigeria LNG Limited confirmed SCD JV as its preferred bidder, and its intention to award to SCD JV the contract for the Engineering, Procurement & Construction of the Nigeria LNG Train 7 Project after a competitive FEED contract.
The intended award of the EPC contract is conditional upon the approval of Nigeria LNG Limited's board of directors and shareholders, the approval of any governmental or regulatory authorities, the achievement of any conditions precedent to a final investment decision by Nigeria LNG Limited and the execution of a legally binding EPC contract by the parties.
With the signature of the letter of intent, Nigeria LNG Limited and the members of SCD JV committed to finalize the EPC Contract based upon the proposals submitted by SCD JV, on an exclusive basis.
The scope of work of the proposals submitted by the SCD JV includes execution of the engineering, procurement & construction of one complete train and one liquification unit with a total capacity of approximately eight (8) MTPA, plus other associated utilities and infrastructure. Saipem's share in the SCD JV is approximately 60%.
