Saipem: assegnato da ExxonMobil un nuovo contratto EPCI per lo sviluppo del giacimento "Liza"
San Donato Milanese (Milano), 10 maggio 2017 – Saipem si è aggiudicata un nuovo contratto EPCI per il pacchetto SURF del campo Liza progetto operato da Esso Exploration e Production Guyana Limited, una controllata di ExxonMobil. Situato a circa 120 miglia al largo delle coste della Guyana, ad una profondità di 1800 metri. Il campo sottomarino Liza ha una capacità potenziale stimata di oltre un miliardo di barili di olio equivalente.
Saipem eseguirà le attività di ingegneria, approvvigionamento, costruzione, installazione di riser, flow line, strutture associate e collegamenti. L'assegnazione include inoltre il trasporto e l'installazione di ombelicali, fondamenta e collettori per pozzi e impianti di iniezione di acqua e gas. Saipem impiegherà per i lavori, che avranno inizio nel 2019, mezzi tecnologicamente avanzati quali il FDS2 e il Normand Maximus.
Stefano Cao, CEO di Saipem, ha così commentato:

Saipem ha inoltre acquisito nuovi contratti e variazioni dello scopo del lavoro di contratti in corso di esecuzione nelle aree del Mare del Nord e del West Africa.
Le nuove acquisizioni ammontano complessivamente a 500 milioni di dollari.

Saipem: new EPCI contract awarded by ExxonMobil for development of the offshore field "Liza" in Guyana
San Donato Milanese (Milan), May 10, 2017 – Saipem has been awarded a new EPCI contract for the SURF package of the proposed Liza project operated by Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Limited, an affiliate of ExxonMobil. Located approximately 120 miles offshore Guyana at a water depth of 1,800 metres, the Liza field is a subsea development with a recoverable resource estimate of over 1 billion oil-equivalent barrels.
Saipem will perform engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of the risers, flow lines, and associated structures and jumpers. The award also includes transportation and installation of umbilicals, manifolds, and associated foundations for the production, and water and gas injection systems. Saipem will deploy its flagship vessels FDS2 and the Normand Maximus to execute the works which will commence in 2019.
Commenting on the award, Stefano Cao, Saipem CEO, said:

Saipem has also acquired new contracts and change orders of contracts currently underway in the North Sea and West Africa.
The new acquisitions worth a total of 500 million USD.
