Saipem: raggiunto un accordo sui principali termini per l'acquisizione della drillship Deep Value Driller
Milano, 17 febbraio 2026 - Saipem comunica che è stato raggiunto con Deep Value Driller AS (DVD) un accordo sui principali termini e condizioni per l'acquisizione dell'unità di perforazione offshore mobile di settima generazione Deep Value Driller. Il prezzo di acquisto concordato ammonta a 272,5 milioni USD.
La Deep Value Driller è attualmente oggetto di un contratto di noleggio a scafo nudo (bareboat charter) tra Saipem (Portugal) Comércio Marítimo, Sociedade Unipessoal, Lda, (società controllata da Saipem S.p.A.), e DVD fino al 31 luglio 2026 ed è operativa in Indonesia.
La sottoscrizione del relativo accordo vincolante è, tra l'altro, subordinata all'approvazione dei Consigli di Amministrazione di Saipem e DVD.
Il perfezionamento dell'operazione è previsto, al più tardi, alla data di scadenza dell'attuale contratto di bareboat charter, fissata il 31 luglio 2026.
L'acquisizione è in linea con la strategia di Saipem di rafforzare la propria flotta di perforazione offshore, mantenendo al contempo un approccio disciplinato nell'allocazione del capitale.

Saipem: agreement reached on main terms for the acquisition of the Deep Value Driller drillship
Milano, 17 February 2026 - Saipem announces that it has reached an agreement with Deep Value Driller AS ("DVD") on the main terms and conditions for the acquisition of the seventh-generation mobile offshore drilling unit Deep Value Driller. The agreed purchase price amounts to 272.5 million USD.
The Deep Value Driller is currently subject to a bareboat charter agreement between Saipem (Portugal) Comércio Marítimo, Sociedade Unipessoal, Lda (a subsidiary of Saipem S.p.A.) and DVD until 31 July 2026 and is operating in Indonesia.
The execution of the related binding agreement is, among other things, subject to approval by the Boards of Directors of Saipem and DVD.
Completion of the transaction is expected to occur, at the latest, by the expiration of the existing bareboat charter, set for 31 July 2026.
The acquisition is in line with Saipem's strategy to strengthen its offshore drilling fleet while maintaining a disciplined approach to capital allocation.
