San Donato Milanese (MI), 14 luglio 2022 - Saipem e la società di costruzioni saudita Nasser S. Al Hajri Corporation ("NSH") hanno firmato con Saudi Aramco, nell'ambito dell'iniziativa Namaat Industrial Investment Programs, un accordo (l'"Accordo") per l'esecuzione in Arabia Saudita di progetti EPC onshore da parte di una Joint Venture di nuova costituzione (l'"EPC National Champion").
L'iniziativa fa seguito al protocollo d'intesa firmato e annunciato a settembre 2021, nell'ambito del Namaat Industrial Investment Programs di Aramco, finalizzato a costituire cosiddetti Campioni Nazionali, al fine di creare un solido ecosistema industriale, favorire lo scambio di competenze e tecnologia e introdurre nuove opportunità di lavoro.
L'Accordo prevede l'incorporazione della Joint Venture in Arabia Saudita, con competenze e capacità per eseguire in Arabia Saudita l'intera gamma di attività di progetti EPC onshore, massimizzando l'impiego di risorse locali. L'istituzione dell'EPC National Champion – prevista entro la fine del 2022 – è soggetta alla definizione in una fase successiva dei dettagli riguardanti la relativa incorporazione.
Saipem e Aramco hanno una collaborazione di lunga data che include l'esecuzione di un'ampia serie di attività, dall'ingegneria e costruzione onshore e offshore alle attività di perforazione, con impianti onshore e offshore. Inoltre, Saipem e NSH hanno avuto in passato una proficua collaborazione per l'esecuzione di progetti EPC in Arabia Saudita.
L'istituzione dell'EPC National Champion - attraverso la combinazione delle competenze ingegneristiche e di project management di Saipem con le capacità costruttive di NSH - rappresenta l'occasione per migliorare la presenza di Saipem nel mercato in crescita dell'Arabia Saudita, con nuovo modello operativo ancora più efficiente ed efficace.

San Donato Milanese (MI), July 14, 2022— Saipem and the Saudi construction company, Nasser S. Al Hajri Corporation ("NSH"), have signed with Aramco an industrial national engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) champion implementation agreement (the "Agreement"), as part of Namaat Industrial Investment Programs event, for the execution of onshore EPC projects in the Kingdom by a newly established entity, to be incorporated by Saipem and NSH in Saudi Arabia (the "EPC National Champion").
The initiative follows the MoU signed and announced in September 2021, under Aramco's Namaat Investment Industrial Programs, focused on building national champions, creating a robust industrial ecosystem and introducing unique job opportunities.
The Agreement envisages the incorporation of the above-mentioned EPC National Champion with the skills and capacity to execute in the Kingdom the full range of onshore EPC project activities, maximising the employment of local resources. The establishment of the EPC National Champion – which is expected by the end of 2022 – is subject to the definition at a later stage of the details concerning the relevant incorporation.
Saipem and Aramco have a long-running collaboration that includes the execution of a wide set of activities, from onshore and offshore engineering and construction, to drilling activities, with onshore and offshore rigs. Saipem and NSH also had fruitful cooperation in the past for the execution of EPC projects in the Kingdom.
The establishment of the EPC National Champion-through the combination of Saipem's engineering and project management skills with NSH's construction skills-would represent the chance to improve Saipem's effective presence in Saudi Arabia's growing market.
