San Donato Milanese (MI), 15 novembre 2021 - Saipem si è aggiudicata due nuovi contratti offshore per attività di trasporto e installazione (T&I) per un totale complessivo di oltre 600 milioni di dollari.
Il primo contratto è stato assegnato da Chevron Australia Pty Ltd per il progetto Jansz-lo Compression, relativo al giacimento di gas Jansz-lo, a circa 200 chilometri al largo della costa nord-occidentale dell'Australia, a una profondità di circa 1.400 metri. Jansz-lo rientra nel progetto Gorgon, gestito da Chevron, un raggruppamento di diversi giacimenti e una delle più grandi riserve di gas naturale del mondo.
L'inizio delle operazioni offshore è previsto per il 2024 e le attività verranno svolte dalla nave Saipem Constellation.
Il secondo contratto è relativo al progetto Sakarya Gas Field Development, il primo giacimento di gas naturale in acque profonde scoperto in Turchia nel Mar Nero, a circa 175 km al largo della costa di Eregli. Il contratto prevede il trasporto e l'installazione di condotte fino ad una profondità di 2.200 metri. Le operazioni offshore inizieranno nella primavera del 2022 e sarà utilizzata principalmente la nave Castorone.

San Donato Milanese (Italy), November 15, 2021 - Saipem has been awarded two new offshore contracts for transportation and installation activities (T&I) for a total amount of over 600 million USD
The first contract was awarded by Chevron Australia Pty Ltd for the Jansz-lo Compression Project, the gas field located around 200 kilometres offshore the north-western coast of Australia, at water depths of approximately 1,400 meters. Jansz-lo is part of the Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, a grouping of different fields and one of the world's largest natural gas developments.
Offshore operations are planned to start in 2024 and they will be conducted by the Constellation vessel.
The second contract regards the Sakarya Gas Field Development project, the first deepwater natural gas field discovered in Turkey in the Black Sea, about 175 km offshore the coast of Eregli. The contract entails the transportation and installation of pipelines to 2,200-meter water depth. The offshore operations are to begin in spring 2022 and will be conducted mainly by the Castorone vessel.
