TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES

The Sage Group plc ("Sage" or the "Group") announces today that it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 1 ⁴/₇₇ pence each (the "Shares") on the London Stock Exchange and Multilateral Trading Facilities from Morgan Stanley & Co. International Plc. This is pursuant to the share buyback programme announced on 4 March 2021 which is expected to end no later than 4 September 2021.

Highest price paid per share:                                          597.80p

Lowest price paid per share:                                           582.40p

Volume weighted average price paid per share:         592.42p

These Shares will be held in treasury and used to meet obligations arising from share option programmes, or other allocations of shares, to employees or directors.

Following the above transaction, the issued share capital of Sage consists 1,120,789,295 ordinary shares of 1⁴/₇₇ pence each, of which 24,452,938 ordinary shares of 1⁴/₇₇ pence each will be held in treasury. Therefore, the total exercisable voting rights in Sage will be 1,096,336,357.

The above figure 1,096,336,357 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Sage under the DTRs.
