The Sage Group plc. (the "Company")

Notification of Transactions of Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities

This notification relates to transactions notified in accordance with article 19 of the Market Abuse Regulation.

On 20 May 2019 the persons named below, who are Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities of The Sage Group plc., were granted awards over ordinary shares of 14/77 pence each in The Sage Group plc. under each of The Sage Group plc. 2019 Restricted Share Plan (RSP), The Sage Group plc. 2015 Performance Share Plan (PSP) and The Sage Group plc. 2017 Share Option Plan (SOP) respectively as shown below. The maximum number of shares that may be acquired on the vesting of the award is specified opposite each participant's name below. No price is payable either on the grant or vesting of an RSP or a PSP award. An exercise price of £7.468 per share is payable in respect of the SOP award. Awards will normally vest, subject to continued employment and performance conditions (where applicable) according to the schedule below. Awards are subject to malus and clawback.

Awards will vest according to the following schedule:

One-third of the RSP award of Rob Reid will vest on each of 4 December 2019, 4 December 2020 and 4 December 2021.

The SOP award of Rob Reid will vest on 4 December 2021.

The PSP award of Lee Perkins will vest on 4 December 2021.
