Senior Management Appointment

Safestay (AIM: SSTY), the owner and operator of a new brand of contemporary hostel, is pleased to announce the appointment with immediate effect of Mark Beveridge as Finance Director reporting to the Board of the Company. Mark is an experienced chartered accountant with skills in leading a broad range of senior financial and business development roles within the international hospitality and leisure industry.

Mark (aged 56) was until recently a director of corporate finance at Intercontinental Hotels Group PLC, one of the world's leading hotel companies. Previously, Mark was a director of finance at Marriott Vacation Club International in Europe, then a strategic business unit of Marriott International Inc. MVCI is one of the world's leading vacation ownership companies. Prior to MVCI, Mark was head of overseas finance and accounting and later head of corporate finance at Thomson Holidays Limited. Mark qualified as a chartered accountant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 1986.
