Preliminary Final Results
The Directors of Saferoads Holdings Limited advise that the preliminary final report for the year ending 30 June 2006 was released to the market today. All performance indicators exceeded prospectus forecasts, with net profit after tax being 8.4% above the prospectus forecast, and revenue 17% higher than the previous year.
The Board is pleased to announce that a final dividend of 3.5 cents per share, fully franked, will be paid on 3 November 2006. With the interim fully franked dividend of 2.5 cents per share, paid on 4 April 2006, this brings the total dividend payments for the 2005-06 full year to 6 cents per share, fully franked, which is in line with the prospectus forecast.
Our future growth strategy is to combine strong organic growth with strategic acquisitions. Our organic growth objective for 2006-07 is to increase sales by at least 15% over 2005-06, whilst maintaining our relative profit margins.
The Board also advises that it has accepted the resignation of Jeff Herdman, General Manager of Saferoads Pty Ltd, effective 31 August 2006. Mr Herdman has resigned to pursue personal business interests, although he will act as a consultant to Saferoads for special projects.
The Company has appointed Mr Wayne Portelli to the position of General Manager, Operations.
Mr Portelli has a successful track record in the management of engineering and manufacturing operations. In his last venture, he founded packaging group Drypac Warragul in 1989. Drypac grew rapidly over a 13 year period and was sold to Cryovac Sealed Air Corporation in 2002. The Directors are confident that Mr Portelli's experience and expertise will assist the Company significantly in implementing its future growth plans.
