SAFEROADS ANNOUNCES CHANGE TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Saferoads Holdings Limited (ASX:SRH) today announced the resignation of Gary Bertuch as Chairman and Director, effective from today. Mr David Ashmore has today been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Mr Bertuch is standing down as a director to enable him to focus upon other extensive work commitments and to make way for others to lead the company through the current recovery period and into the future. Mr Ashmore said that “Mr Bertuch joined the board as Chairman in 2005 and has lead it for 8 years from its initial listing on the ASX until today. He has consistently and professionally contributed his time, skill and knowledge to the Board and SRH and has lead the Board as a consultative Chair.

The Board wishes to thank Mr Bertuch for his dedication to the company over the past 8 years, his professionalism, his leadership and his support of his fellow directors through the course of his appointment.”

Mr Ashmore was appointed as director on 22 November 2012. He is a career Chartered Accountant with 40 years of professional public practice experience until his resignation as a partner in December 2011. His experience focused on audit, finance, due diligence, risk and governance advisory. He has worked with many dynamic private and public companies where his experience has assisted them with understanding their underlying financial position, their financial management issues and business growth challenges. Those challenges have typically included the development of sustainable executive management structures and business value building initiatives. He also has significant experience with the identification and management of financial and business risks and the development of structured business decision making protocols.

Mr Ashmore has considerable experience in a leadership and a chairman role through his work on numerous Audit Committee appointments and as a Senior Partner, Board Member and Practice Leader.
