   informed us pursuant to sec. 21 para. 1 Securities Trading Act (WpHG) of
   the following:

The percentage of the voting rights of Alken Luxembourg S.A. in RWE AG fell
below the threshold of 3% on 21 January 2015 and amounts to 2.97% of the
voting rights (17,079,884 voting rights) on that day. They are attributable
to Alken Luxembourg S.A. pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG.

1. On 23 January 2015 Alken Fund SICAV, Luxembourg, Luxembourg, has
   informed us pursuant to sec. 21 para. 1 Securities Trading Act (WpHG) of
   the following:

The percentage of the voting rights of Alken Fund SICAV in RWE AG fell
below the threshold of 3% on 21 January 2015 and amounts to 2.97% of the
voting rights (17,079,884 voting rights) on that day.
