1. As a correction of the voting rights notification dated 14 April 2014,
   on 16 April 2014 Credit Suisse AG, Zurich, Switzerland, has informed us
   pursuant to sec. 21 para. 1 Securities Trading Act (WpHG) of the following:

The percentage of the voting rights of Credit Suisse AG in RWE AG exceeded
the threshold of 3% on 08 April 2014 and amounts to 3.46% of the voting
rights (19902078 voting rights) on that day. Credit Suisse AG holds 0.01%
of the voting rights (69881 voting rights) directly; 3.44% of the voting
rights (19832197 voting rights) are attributable to Credit Suisse AG
pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG and the names of the
controlled undertakings holding 3% or more are Credit Suisse Investments
(UK), Credit Suisse Investment Holdings (UK) and Credit Suisse Securities
(Europe) Limited.
