with the aim of a Europe-wide distribution

1. On 1 December 2014 Alken Fund SICAV, Luxembourg, Luxembourg, has
   informed us pursuant to sec. 21 para. 1 Securities Trading Act (WpHG) of
   the following:

The percentage of the voting rights of Alken Fund SICAV in RWE AG exceeded
the threshold of 3% on 28. November 2014 and amounts to 3.03% of the voting
rights (17,453,124 voting rights) on that day.

1. On 1 December 2014 Alken Luxembourg S.A., Luxembourg, Luxembourg, has
   informed us pursuant to sec. 21 para. 1 Securities Trading Act (WpHG) of
   the following:

The percentage of the voting rights of Alken Luxembourg S.A. in RWE AG has
exceeded the threshold of 3% on 28. November 2014 and amounts to 3,03% of
the voting rights (17,453,124 voting rights) on that day. They are
attributable to Alken Luxembourg S.A. pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 1
no. 6 WpHG.
