RTX Telecom enters into a strategic sales and marketing collaboration with Brazilian partners and sets up a subsidiary in São Paulo, Brazil
RTX Telecom has entered into a strategic sales and marketing collaboration with local Brazilian partners and thus, they strengthen their sales effort in the Latin American market. In connection with the made collaboration, the group is establishing a subsidiary, RTX Telecom América Latina in São Paulo in Brazil. The purpose of this start-up is to be able to market RTX Telecom's technologies and products as attractive options, when telephone services providers are proposing to set up new cordless IP-network solutions in the area of this new collaboration, as well as by the development of other partnerships.
RTX Telecom is appointing Palle Kjær as Managing Director in the subsidiary. Palle Kjær, who is 38, has several years of experience from working in the telecommunications industry, such as working for the Danish Sonofon and the Italian Elsacom. Since 2007, Palle Kjær has acted as an independent consultant in the telecommunications industry in Brazil.
The subsidiary will have its headquarters in a Business Centre that has been established at the Danish Consulate General in São Paulo. In this way, the company is expected to acquire fruitful access to knowledge and business networks in Brazil.
The RTX Telecom group has received its first commercial order in connection with its set-up in Brazil, a telephone services provider in Northern Brazil has placed an order for an IP-network solution, including a cordless access to the Internet as well as cordless telephony. The IP-network will be set up in an area of Northern Brazil which is experiencing strong growth primarily due to an expansion of mining in the area.
Tage Rasmussen, the President and CEO of RTX Telecom, sees many positive opportunities in the intensified sales and marketing effort in Brazil. "We in the Western world are well provided for in terms of telephony and broadband. The reality is different in large parts of Latin America where the infrastructure of telephony and internet communication is not sufficiently expanded. Our IPnetwork solution offers the telephone services providers a good opportunity to expand the infrastructure in Latin America on competitive terms".
