A. Enggaard A/S, Entreprenør- og Byggefirma has notified Royal Unibrew A/S of exercise of its purchase option on 17,600 square metres of building rights relating to the brewery site in Aarhus.

Royal Unibrew A/S has today been notified by A. Enggaard A/S, Entreprenør- og Byggefirma of exercise of the purchase option on 17,600 square metres of building rights. This means that A. Enggaard has exercised the option to purchase a total of 55,100 square metres of the total 140,000 square metres of building rights at the brewery site in Aarhus. The exercise is made as part of the option agreement entered into in March 2011 (see Company Announcement No 1/2011 of 4 March 2011).

The purchase of the 17,600 square metres of building rights is expected realised at the end of Q4 2013 and will have a net cash flow effect after tax of approximately DKK 60 million to Royal Unibrew A/S.

As disclosed in the Annual Report for 2012, the brewery site in Aarhus is recognised at estimated fair value in the Financial Statements of Royal Unibrew. Fair value is estimated at DKK 370 million at 30 June 2013. On 30 June 2013 the carrying amount has been increased by DKK 90 million recognised in equity under revaluation reserves at DKK 67 million after deducting deferred tax of DKK 23 million, after which the carrying amount totals DKK 368 million.
