ROX ATTRACTS ADDITIONAL FUNDING

Rox Resources (ASX: RXL) today announced a placement of 10,000,000 shares at a price of \$0.10 per share with sophisticated and professional investor clients of Bell Potter Securities Limited to raise \$1,000,000 in order to further fund its exploration and development activities in Laos and South Africa.

Rox Managing Director Mr Ian Mulholland said the placement represented confidence in the Company's projects.

"In Laos we have a potentially significant lead-zinc-silver project where drilling has already intersected high-grade mineralisation, and we have a number of high-grade surface targets to follow up," said Mr Mulholland.

"In South Africa we have assembled a portfolio of diamond projects with the potential to generate strong profits and cash flows going forward. Our strategy in South Africa of guickly achieving diamond production is now starting to take shape and gain momentum," he said.

The placement of shares was approved at Rox's recent AGM, and the shares will rank equally with other issued shares in the company.

Rox is a Perth-based exploration company with a portfolio of projects in Laos. South Africa and Australia. In Laos, Rox is exploring the Pha Luang lead-zinc project where high grade drill intercepts of lead and zinc have been made, and has first right of refusal over a number of other prospective resource projects there. In South Africa, Rox has a number of alluvial and kimberlite diamond projects with bulk sampling now underway.
