West Australian focused gold exploration and development company, Rox Resources Limited ( “Rox” or “the Company” ) (ASX: RXL) is pleased to advise the appointment of Mr Robert Ryan as a non-executive director of the Company.

Mr Ryan is a mining engineer with over 20 years of experience in the resource sector, including exploration, resource development, feasibility studies, project development, mining operations and corporate merger and acquisitions.

Mr Ryan holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining Engineering) from Curtin University School of Mines and a First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency.

He has prior Senior Executive experience with Bardoc Gold Limited, Norton Gold Fields, Barrick Gold, Goldfields – St Ives and Newmont Corporation.

In commenting on the appointment Rox’s Chairman, Mr Stephen Dennis said:

“ We are very excited to have Robert joining the Board, bringing strong mining engineering capabilities at this stage in Rox’s development as we progress studies showing the pathway for a return to mining. These skills, coupled with Robert’s extensive mining experience with Western Australian gold producers will further strengthen the Rox Board. ”

About Rox Resources

Rox Resources (ASX:RXL) is a West Australian focused gold exploration and development company. It is the 70 per cent owner and operator of the historic Youanmi Gold Project near Mt Magnet, approximately 480 kilometres northeast of Perth, and wholly-owns the Mt Fisher Gold project approximately 140 kilometres southeast of Wiluna. Youanmi has a Total Mineral Resource of 3,199 koz of contained gold, with potential for further expansion with the integration of existing prospects into the Resource and further drilling. Youanmi was a high-grade gold mine and produced 667,000 oz of gold (at 5.47 g/t Au) before it closed in 1997. Youanmi is classified as a disturbed site and is on existing mining leases which has significant existing infrastructure to support a return to mining operations.
