Rothschild & Co Lord Leach of Fairford

Rothschild & Co learnt with great sadness of the death of Lord Leach of Fairford on 12th June 2016 after a short illness. Lord Leach joined Rothschild in 1963 and became a partner in 1968 when he was appointed joint head of corporate finance. He stayed with the firm for more than a decade returning in 2006 as a non-Executive director of Rothschild Continuation Holdings AG. Following the Group's reorganisation in June 2012 he was appointed a member of the Supervisory Board.

Eric de Rothschild, Chairman of the Supervisory Board and David de Rothschild, Chairman of the Company's Managing Partner, joined to say, "We were extremely sad to learn of Rodney's death. Throughout his time with Rothschild, but particularly as a non-Executive director, Rodney made a significant contribution to our discussions and we benefited immensely from his experience and his wise counsel. We are deeply saddened by Rodney's death and it goes without saying that he will be greatly missed."
