ROSENBAUER: SENSATIONAL MAJOR ORDER FORM SAUDI ARABIA Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Rosenbauer International AG yesterday signed a contract with the Saudi Arabia Ministry of the Interior to supply 234 fire-fighting vehicles and a great many items of fire-safety equipment, together worth a total of ATS 615 m (EUR 44.7 m) The vehicles are to be made at the Group’s American subsidiary Central States Equipment LLC, and will be of three different types. The operating authority is the Saudi national Civil Defence Organisation, which will distribute the vehicles to local fire stations throughout the Kingdom. More than 5000 firemen will be equipped with breathing apparatus and compressors, fireman jackets, helmets, boots and fire-fighting lamps. The vehicles and other equipment will be delivered in instalments during 2002 and 2003. This major order, won under a tender procedure in the face of fierce international competition, confirms once again the Rosenbauer Group’s internationalisation strategy, and with it the Group’s leading position on the worldwide fire engineering market. With this contract, the value of outstanding orders at the Rosenbauer Group reaches the unprecedented record figure of ATS 3,300 m (EUR 239,1 m).
