In continuance of its strategy of growth, the Rosenbauer Group signs an agreement to acquire a 90-percent stake in the Slovenian fire fighting vehicle manufacturer Mettis International d.o.o. At its plant in Gornja Radgona, near Maribor in Slovenia, the company manufactures fire fighting vehicles for local markets, superstructures for custom vehicles, and crew-cabs for fire fighting vehicles. Mettis has around 60 employees and posted revenues of 6.4 Mio EUR in 2011.
"The acquisition of this stake in Mettis International is an important step for Rosenbauer in terms of implementing our growth strategy. With the new base that it gives us in Radgona, the transaction opens up additional growth opportunities for us in Slovenia and neighbouring Balkan markets. It is also a cost-effective means of acquiring additional resources and capacity that Rosenbauer will need in order to continue its organic growth", explains Dieter Siegel, CEO of Rosenbauer International AG.
Rosenbauer will be fully consolidating this new equity interest.
