Rosenbauer International english

Rosenbauer Group: Preliminary Results 2001 Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– At approx. EUR 5.1 m, on revenues of around EUR 273 m, the interim Group Result (EBT) for the 2001 financial year was significantly higher than forecast. The improvement in the result over that achieved in the previous year (EBT 2000: EUR 2.7 m) is attributable to higher margins in international business, and to positive developments at the Group’s subsidiaries in the USA, Singapore, Spain and Switzerland. The Group’s buoyant order books, and the fact that the reorganisation of the German Metz Group has now been completed, together suggest that 2002 may be expected to be a record year. President Julian Wagner’s comment: “We are confident that we can double the Group’s EBT in 2002, which would make this our best result since the Going Public in 1994”. Restructuring in the European municipal vehicle sector Following the successful relocation of municipal vehicle production operations in Germany from Karlsruhe to the lower-cost location of Luckenwalde, attention has now turned to the Group’s companies in Belgium and Norway, both of which are facing intense price competition. In future, these bitterly fought-over markets will not be worked directly by Rosenbauer itself, but via local distribution partners. The negotiations regarding the disposal of the Belgian subsidiary by way of an MBO have already been concluded, and in Norway there is also expected to be an MBO before the end of the first half of 2002. end of ad-hoc-announcement (c)DGAP 14.03.2002 ——————————————————————————– WKN: 092255; ISIN: AT0000922554; Index: Listed: Amtlicher Handel in Wien; Freiverkehr in Berlin 140834 Mär 02
