Roctool creates a new Design Team

In order to meet the increasing demands from Brands and Equipment Manufacturers for the development of plastic, composite and metal, Roctool created a new team of designers.

This newly established team, located in Paris (France), San José, California (USA) & Chicago, Illinois (USA) will be responsible for understanding the current challenges faced by leading brands, assist them with the innovation needed for new consumer products, such as automotive applications or electronic consumer goods.

"We had an increase of OEM/Brand directly requesting information about our molding technologies and how we could support them for thin wall applications, top surface quality, molding new innovative materials and also cost reduction possibilities such as removing secondary operations. It is critical for Roctool to fully understand what the brands are trying to accomplish and to stay in contact with the latest trends of our key market segments. This new design team can listen to the OEM, understand the product challenges and explore what Roctool technologies can do. They can support the brands in their search for quality, cost efficiency and differentiation" comments, Mathieu Boulanger CEO of Roctool.

Roctool molding technology is used for multiple applications using plastic injection, compression molding for composite materials and also hybrid molding. The process allows a quick heating of the mold surface and brings many advantages such as optimal surface quality, flow extension, high level of surface replication, cycle time reduction and the possibility to mold highly filled materials.
