Double Event drilling complete - assays expedited

The Board of Rockfire Resources plc (LON: ROCK), is pleased to inform shareholders that its drilling program at the Double Event gold prospect in Queensland, Australia has successfully been completed well within time and within budget. Drilling has encountered sulphides, including pyrite and galena (lead sulphide) at predicted depths.

·      12 reverse circulation holes (total of 605m), with all holes intersecting vein quartz with varying amounts of sulphides including pyrite and galena;

·      A single deep hole (118m) was drilled at depth beneath the eastern workings, where Rockfire drilled and intersected encouraging gold intercepts in June 2018;

·      The samples have been delivered to the lab, and assay results are expected within the next week.

Chief Executive Officer of Rockfire, David Price commented:

"Owing to a much larger and more powerful drilling rig being deployed to Double Event, our intended 10-day program of drilling was substantially reduced,  saving both time and money for the company. Our drilling has hit sulphides in positions which were anticipated from our surface mapping and ground magnetics."

The laboratory is reporting a reduced back-log of samples at present, so we anticipate that assay results may be back within the week. The market will be informed of results once they have been received and interpreted."
