PARAZERO PARTICIPATES IN SUCCESSFUL UAS (DRONES) TESTING BY NORTH DAKOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (DOT)
-
FIRST SERIES OF TEST FLIGHTS OF UAS FOR POTENTIAL FLIGHT OVER PEOPLE IN CONTROLLED AIRSPACE
-
NORTH DAKOTA DOT (NDDOT) IS ONE OF 10 PARTICIPANTS IN INTEGRATION PILOT PROGRAMS INITIATED BY THE US FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION (FAA) FOR SAFE UAS FLIGHT
-
TESTING DESIGNED TO ASSIST THE FAA IN CREATING NEW REGULATIONS FOR SAFE AND SECURE INTEGRATION OF UAS INTO NATIONAL AIRSPACE SYSTEMS
-
TESTING WAS DONE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CNN, BOTLINK AND PARAZERO
Drone safety solutions company ParaZero Limited (ASX: PRZ) (ParaZero or Company) is pleased to announce its participation in the successful completion of the first phase of testing of UAS flight tests for potential flight over a group of people in a controlled airspace, in which the Company's systems were tested.
The tests were held in Fargo, North Dakota by the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT), working in partnership with CNN, Botlink, Parazero and Northern Plains UAS Test Site (NPUASTS). This is the first phase of North Dakota’s Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Integration Pilot Program (IPP) which was designed to help the FAA create new regulations that will enable the safe and secure integration of UAS into national airspace systems.
The FAA initiated the Unmanned Aircraft System Integration Pilot Program (IPP) designed to explore ways to safely expand cutting-edge drone operations into the n ational airspace by pairing state, local and tribal governments with unmanned aircraft commercial operators. The program consists of 10 teams in locations throughout the country. The implementation of the IPP programs will lead to a nation-wide FAA regulated standard that will allow the use of drones in commercial activities and over populated areas within the national airspace systems.
In May, the U.S. DOT selected the North Dakota Department of Transportation as one of 10 participants in the Federal Aviation Administration’s UAS Integration Pilot Program. NDDOT and NPUASTS are working together with partners and stakeholders to accomplish North Dakota’s pilot program mission to provide operational efficiencies, create new opportunities, build industry to grow the economy and reduce traffic fatalities and serious injuries. The three-year program gives state, local and tribal governments a chance to establish innovation zones for testing complex UAS operations.
Commenting on the above announcement, ParaZero’s CEO, Eden Attias, said : " I am pleased to announce the success of the first phase of testing in the Integration Pilot Program, that Parazero's systems were testing in. In UAS flight, safety is a critical issue, and ParaZero presented our drone safety system as one of the safety solutions enabling flight over groups of people".
"By participating in these IPP's, Parazero is working with industry stakeholders to further UAS safety and exposing the industry to our solution. ParaZero will continue working with these partners to further the use of UAS safety solutions based on our systems and the use of UAS in everyday activities".
"I look forward to notifying the market on our further successes".
