Order for three MBE production machines in Asia

Bezons, December 22th, 2010 – 5:45 pm – RIBER, the global leader for molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), is announcing the sale of three production systems to two Asian organizations working in the compound semiconductors fields.

The orders concern two MBE6000 systems, with a processing capacity of over 1,500 wafers per month, and one MBE49 system, with a processing capacity of 1,200 wafers per month. The machines will primarily be used to make radiofrequency communication microelectronic devices, enabling the customers to significantly increase their production capabilities.

These significant orders illustrate the strong upturn in the compound semiconductor industry, as well as the strong level of interest in RIBER's production systems. Since the beginning of 2010, RIBER has booked five orders for production machines, deliverable in Europe and Asia.

These latest commercial successes confirm the growth in RIBER's sales in emerging countries, and highlight its key position on the Asian market, the world's most dynamic semiconductor industries.
