Sales expanding in Russia
Bezons, France, June 9, 2010 – 7.00 am – RIBER, the global leader for molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), announces the sale of a SIVA21 research system to The Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (LPI RAS) in Moscow (Russia).
This machine will be installed at the Laboratory of Molecular Beam Epitaxy headed by Pr. Igor P. KAZAKOV, where is already installed one Riber Compact21. It will enable the laboratory to increase its development capacities for the design of semi-conductor devices based on III-V components.
The SIVA21, family of the Compact21 series which is the MBE research system the most sold in the world, provides unequalled flexibility to meet the most demanding specifications of applied research on compound semi-conductor materials. The system acquired by the LPI RAS is dedicated to nano-technology field, and the epitaxial growth of experimental Silicon - Germanium (SiGe) based heterostructures with quantum wells for fundamental investigations.
Following the Rusnanoprize awarded to RIBER by the Russian Nanotechnology Society in 2009, this new order confirm RIBER's notoriety in Russia and enables to increase its position in this market, the semi-conductor industry of which is fast expanding.
