Press release – Major OLED cells order Bezons, France, OCTOBER 26, 2009; 5.45 PM

MAJOR OLED CELLS ORDER IN THE FAR EAST

Bezons, France, October 26, 2009 – 5.45 pm – RIBER, the global leader for molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), announces a significant effusion sources sales contract for two OLED production lines on 730 x 920 mm panels to a leading OLED screens manufacturing player in Asia.

This order followed the commissioning by this customer of new equipment suitable to manufacture OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) structures on large size screens.

The OLED technology enables the production of electroluminescent flexible layers made of a thin film of organic compounds. OLEDs can be used to manufacture TV screens, computer monitors, mobile device screens such as cell phones and PDAs, signposting, low energy lighting, etc.

Contrary to liquid crystal display (LCD), OLED screens do no require any backlighting: an electric current runs through the very cells of the screen and produces light. The OLED technology allows the production of screens with more contrast, more brightness, and above all that are thinner, lighter and more energy efficient.

Due to the variety of its applications, the OLED technology is set to significantly grow in the short and medium term.

With its extensive portfolio of innovative material evaporation solutions, Riber confirms its position as a major player in the realization of components for OLED manufacturing. The recent marketing successes consolidate Riber's strategic orientation into services and component sales, in addition to maintaining its leadership in molecular beam epitaxy (MBE).

SHAREHOLDERS' AGENDA: Sales to September 30, 2009, November 5 after close of trading.
