Licciana Nardi (MS), 15 January 2024 – The Ordinary Shareholders' Meeting of Reway Group S.p.A. (the "Company" or "Reway Group") (EGM: RWY), Italy's largest operator specialized in rehabilitation and maintenance of road and highway infrastructures, as well as the only organization in Italy capable of handling all the activities related to the chain of restoration of bridges, tunnels and viaducts (the "Company" or "Reway Group"), announces the award of a contract by its subsidiary M.G.A. S.r.l. – Manutenzioni Generali Autostrade ("MGA").
In detail, the contract was awarded by ANAS S.p.A. to MGA after a European tender and involves the engineering and construction of a new tunnel located along the Amatrice - Montereale - L'Aquila ridge road, part of SS 260 "Picente."
The project is worth approximately 62.2 million euros and will be entirely carried out by MGA. It consists in the construction of a tunnel about 1.3 kilometers long and located into the highway connecting the Cermone location (L'Aquila) with S. Giusta (Rieti).
The contract marks Reway Group's entry into the new infrastructure construction sector, enhancing the Group's core business. Additionally, the new contract will strengthen MGA's geographical presence in Central Italy.
The engineering phase will start immediately in January 2024, while the start of the operational phase is expected by August 2024, involving approximately 70 specialized workers. The total project is expected to last 2 and a half years.
