The Restaurant Group plc (the "Company")

Grant of SAYE Options and PDMR Transactions

The Company announces that as part of its all employee Save As You Earn share scheme (the "SAYE Scheme") the following options over ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each in the Company were granted to certain persons discharging managerial responsibilities ('PDMRs') at an option price of 51.84 pence per share ('Award'):

The Award will normally vest on 1 December 2023 and will then normally be exercisable for six months.

Eligible employees were invited to subscribe for options over ordinary shares with an option price of 51.84 pence per share, representing a 20% discount to the share price which was calculated based on the middle market quotation for the dealing day immediately preceding 12 November 2020, being the invitation date. Pursuant to this, a total of 6,493,189 options over ordinary shares were granted to employees. In order to be able to participate in the SAYE Scheme in 2020, Andy Hornby's interest in the 2019 SAYE Scheme was lapsed.

The following notifications, made in accordance with the requirements of the EU Market Abuse Regulation, give further detail of the number of options granted on 8 December 2020 under the SAYE Scheme.
