The Restaurant Group plc (the 'Company') announces that it has been notified of the following transaction in the Company's ordinary 28.125p shares undertaken by directors/persons discharging managerial responsibility.

The transactions were made on the London Stock Exchange in connection with the placing of new ordinary shares in the capital of the Company of up to approximately 19.9 per cent. of the Company's existing ordinary share capital:
