SYAMA OPERATIONS UPDATE

Resolute Mining Limited (ASX: RSG, “Resolute”) advises that the scheduled maintenance shutdown of the sulphide section of the plant at its Syama operations in Mali has been completed. The maintenance was foreshadowed in Resolute’s March quarterly report.

Maintenance work, including inspection of the stack and refractory replacement and curing, has been successfully concluded and preheat of the roaster is now underway.

Treatment of direct leach material will continue until the roaster is fully operational after which the plant will revert to treatment of sulphide roast material.

Resolute Chief Executive Peter Sullivan said that since the completion of the Syama milling circuit shutdown in April the circuit has performed very reliably with minimal downtime.

“Combined with the successful completion of the maintenance work on the sulphide section, we expect to deliver further improvement in Syama’s operational performance.”
