TRADING HALT REQUEST

Resolute Mining Limited ("Company") requests a trading halt of its securities effective immediately pending an announcement by the Company.

The trading halt is being requested in order to re-assess the capital raising announced by the Company on 9 October 2008. It is requested that the trading halt continue until the earlier of two trading days from the receipt of this letter or when a market release is made by the Company. The trading halt is expected to come to an end when the Company announces details of the re-assessment.

The Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
