COMPANY ANNOUNCEMENT

Appointment of New Director

Melbourne, Australia. 9th June 2005. Select Vaccines Limited (ASX:SLT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Robin Beaumont as a Non-Executive Director of the Company. Mr. Beaumont brings a strong set of skills, expertise and experience to the Board. These have been developed in the biotechnology and other commercial sectors.

Mr. Beaumont has been a Director of Gropep Limited (ASX:GRO) since 1999 and is also Chairman of Primegro Limited, an un-listed animal biotechnology company. Both of these companies are profitable. In addition, he is a Director of Evogenix Limited, a company developing novel antibody-based therapeutics and is Chairman of the Cooperative Research Centre for Diagnostics.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Cooper, Executive Chairman of Select Vaccines, said; "I am delighted that we have been able to attract someone of Robin's calibre to the Board of Select Vaccines. I believe he will make a significant contribution to the Company, particularly as a result of his experience in assisting developing companies reach commercial success."

Hepgenics Pty Ltd and Picoral Pty Ltd, which undertake different areas of research and development.
