Appointment of Non-executive director

The Board of Renishaw plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Kath Durrant as a non-executive director with effect from 1 January 2015.

Kath Durrant was until recently the Group HR Director at Rolls-Royce plc and a member of the Executive team. She has significant prior experience with AstraZeneca plc and GlaxoSmithKline plc.  Kath currently sits as an Advisory Board member for the Lancaster University Management School.

Kath will also become a member of Renishaw plc's Remuneration Committee and Nomination Committee.

There is no information to be disclosed for the purposes of Listing Rule 9.6.13.  Kath Durrant does not currently hold any shares in the Company.

Commenting on the changes to the Board, Sir David McMurtry CBE RDI FRS FREng CEng FIMechE, Chairman and Chief Executive said:
