Directorate change

Renewi plc (LSE: RWI), a leading international waste-to-product business, today announces that Eric van Amerongen and Dr Stephen Riley will be retiring from the Board as non-executive Directors at the conclusion of the Company's Annual General Meeting on 13 July 2017.

Eric and Stephen have served on the Board of Renewi plc (formerly Shanks Group plc) for ten years, having been appointed in 2007. Both have played important roles in the evolution of the Company over that time, culminating in the merger of Shanks Group plc and Van Gansewinkel Groep BV earlier this year.

The Chairman and Directors would like to thank both Eric and Stephen for their significant contributions over the last ten years and wish them well for the future.

After the conclusion of the AGM, non-executive Directors Jacques Petry and Allard Castelein will succeed Eric as Senior Independent Director and as Chairman of the Remuneration Committee respectively.

The Board expects to appoint one further non-executive Director during the course of the current year.
