RETIREMENT OF DIRECTOR AND DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT

Renaissance Uranium Limited (ASX: RNU) announces that Non-Executive Chairman, David Macfarlane, has retired from his position with Renaissance in connection with his family’s relocation from Australia to his native United Kingdom.

Mr Macfarlane was appointed Director and Chairman of Renaissance on 1 September 2010. He has provided considerable support through Renaissance’s initial public offering in December 2010 and subsequent development into an active, multi-commodity focused exploration company. Mr MacFarlane’s retirement is effective as of 31 January 2012. Renaissance thanks David for his valuable contributions.

Renaissance is pleased to announce that Non-Executive Director, Stephen Bizzell, has been appointed NonExecutive Chairman and also Chris Anderson has been appointed a Non-Executive Director.

Mr Bizzell has been a Non-Executive Director of the Company since 1 September 2010 and is highly experienced in the fields of corporate restructuring, debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions and has over 15 years corporate finance and public company management experience in the resources sector in Australia and Canada. Mr Bizzell is Chairman of boutique corporate advisory and funds management group Bizzell Capital Partners and an Executive Director of Dart Energy Ltd. He was previously an Executive Director of Arrow Energy from 1999 until its acquisition in August 2010 by Royal Dutch Shell and PetroChina for $3.5 billion. Mr Bizzell was instrumental in Arrow’s corporate and commercial success and its growth from a junior explorer to a large integrated energy company.

Mr Anderson, who has acted as a consultant to Renaissance since 1 August 2010, is an experienced geophysicist with over 35 years in mineral exploration in Australia and abroad. His recent experience includes an instrumental role in the 2007 discovery of the Carrapateena iron-oxide, copper-gold-uranium mine in South Australia. His earlier experience includes acting as Placer Pacific’s Exploration Manager for Eastern Australia, where he was instrumental in the discovery of the Kalkaroo copper-gold-molybdenum deposit in South Australia. Mr. Anderson’s significant international experience includes recent geophysical interpretation in Zambia for Equinox Resources Ltd., and in Tanzania for North Mara Gold Mines, where he contributed to the discovery of the one million ounce Gokona gold deposit. Mr. Anderson is a graduate of Adelaide University (BSc, Geology and Geophysics) (Hons), and he is a fellow of Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
