COMMUNICATION

REQUEST FOR THE TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF BOARD MEMBER

In accordance with article 3(a) of CMVM Regulation no. 5/2008, as amended, REN – Redes Energéticas Nacionais, SGPS, S.A. ("REN") hereby informs and discloses to the market and to the public that Mr. Omar Al-Wahaibi has communicated to REN, on 7 July 2021, a request for the temporary suspension of his functions as board member of REN, with immediate effect, in the context of the intention of OQ S.A.O.C. to sell its indirect participation in REN, already communicated to the market. Such request will be submitted to the next meeting of the Audit of Committee.
