SENIOR MANAGEMENT RETIREMENT AND APPOINTMENT

The board of Regis Resources Ltd advises that long serving General Manager – Exploration, Mr Jens Balkau has decided to retire from full time employment. Jens has been instrumental in the discoveries and exploration success that Regis has achieved at the Duketon Gold Project. The board thanks him for his significant contribution to Regis and wishes him a long and happy retirement.

The board is pleased to advise that it has appointed Mr Peter Woodman to the position of Chief Geological Officer with effect from 25 January 2016. Mr Woodman is a geologist with over 20 years’ experience in exploration, development and operations in the resources sector. He is a graduate of the Australian National University and is a corporate member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

Mr Woodman has worked for a number of mining companies during his extensive career in the resources sector and most recently held the positions of Managing Director of WCP Resources Limited and non–executive director of Papillon Resources Limited where he has been influential in major project acquisition and discovery. He has a strong background in management, exploration planning and execution, resource development and mining operations both in Australia and overseas.

He previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Wedgetail Mining Limited where he oversaw the successful completion of the bankable feasibility study for the Nullagine Gold Project and then managed the $60 million financing of the project development. He has also held positions with Samantha Gold NL, Ranger Minerals NL, Hellman & Schofield Pty Ltd, Centamin Egypt Ltd and Kingsgate Consolidated Ltd.

Regis Executive Chairman, Mark Clark, said: “Peter’s geological experience will be invaluable in leading Regis’ successful exploration team to further mining inventory increases through discovery on its current projects, particularly Duketon. His project evaluation and corporate capabilities will also help Regis uncover new opportunities for further growth through project identification and acquisition.”
