Appointment of Jens Balkau as GM-Exploration
The Directors of Regis Resources NL are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Jens Balkau as General Manager - Exploration. Jens will be based in the Company's Perth office and have responsibility for the Company's exploration activities and the administration of the Perth exploration office.
Jens is a graduate of Adelaide University and Imperial College London, and has more than 30 years experience in exploration and management at senior levels both within Australia and overseas. He has held the positions of Divisional Exploration Manager and Exploration Manager in Western Mining Corporation ("WMC"), and has been a Director of WMC joint venture companies in China, Indonesia and the Philippines. Jens has extensive experience in the design, implementation and management of major exploration programmes for gold and nickel, and other metals.
Speaking today in Melbourne, Regis Chairman Dr Michael Folie said "We welcome Jens to our team and look forward to his contribution as we embark on a detailed examination of the promising Moolart Well gold project, and accelerate our nickel exploration program over our extensive Collurabbie holdings".
