RECKON TO APPOINT NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Appointment

Reckon Limited is pleased to announce that Mr Chris Woodforde will be appointed as a nonexecutive director to the board of Reckon Limited effective 1 July 2015.

Retirement

This appointment is a result of the Chairman, Mr John Thame, announcing his intention to retire from the board effective 30 June 2015.

Chris Woodforde

Chris Woodforde has an extensive background as a legal practitioner in New South Wales and England.

Chris occupied senior positions in Microsoft from 1994 to 2008 including as Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs in Australia.

He is also a mentor to, and investor in, a range of private initiatives in the information and communications technology market. Chris was previously a director of Connect2Field Pty Limited in which Reckon Limited was also an investor until its sale to Fleetmatics in 2013.

Chris brings a unique mix of legal, commercial and management skills in South Asia, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand well suited to information technology companies.

To ensure a smooth transition and allow for an induction period, Chris will attend board meetings as an observer in May and June.

John Thame

John was a director of Reckon since its inception.

John is well known for his excellent contribution to corporate Australia, including as Chairman of St George Bank Limited and of Abacus Property Trust Limited. Under John’s stewardship Reckon has grown from a fledgling publisher of desktop software to become a strategically diversified and profitable company. His contribution to the company was invaluable and he will be missed.

New Chairman

The Deputy Chairman, Mr Ian Ferrier, will be appointed as Non-Executive Chairman of the board effective 1 July 2015.

Mr Ferrier said:

“I am privileged to step into the shoes of the Chairman that John filled so excellently. The company is well poised for the next phase of its development into cloud based products and I look forward to the challenge.”
