Sara Mathew to join RB Board, bringing deep knowledge of consumer goods and digital technologies

1 May 2019, Slough UK - Reckitt Benckiser Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Sara Mathew to the Board as a non-executive director, effective 1 July 2019. She will also join the Audit Committee of the Board at the same time.

Most recently Ms Mathew was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dun & Bradstreet, a company providing commercial data, analytics and insights for businesses.  In this role, she led a transformation of the company into an innovative digital enterprise, leveraging technology to enhance both data quality and coverage.  Prior to this role, Ms Mathew served as President and Chief Operating Officer, and before that, she was Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to her career at Dun & Bradstreet, Ms Mathew had an 18-year career at Procter & Gamble serving as CFO of the Baby Care and Paper Products businesses and Vice President of Finance in Asia.

Ms Mathew has extensive board experience across a number of industries including healthcare, consumer products and financial services.  Previously, she served on the boards of Shire Pharmaceuticals, Campbell Soup Company and Avon.  Currently Ms Mathew is on the board of State Street Bank and is Chair of the Board of Freddie Mac, the US home loan company.

Ms Mathew received her undergraduate degree from the University of Madras in Chennai, India and holds a Master of Business Administration in marketing and finance from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Commenting on the appointment, Chris Sinclair, Chairman of the Board said "I am delighted that Sara has agreed to join the Board.  She has extensive experience with consumer goods products, digital technologies and healthcare and has led strategic and digital transformations.   Sara will bring great insight to the Board and we welcome her appointment."

The Company confirms that there is no further information to be disclosed under the requirements of Listing Rule 9.6.13R in relation to Sara Mathew's appointment.
