Orkla has subscribed in the rights issue in REC

Orkla ASA, which is represented at the board of REC,

has today subscribed for 132,078,878 shares in the

rights issue in REC at a subscription price of NOK

12.10 per share. As set out in the notification

published earlier today, Orkla ASA has received all

shares and subscription rights in REC held by Elkem

AS. The subscription involves that Orkla ASA

subscribes for all subscription rights allotted to

Orkla ASA and Elkem AS. At completion of the rights

issue Orkla ASA will own 396,236,635 shares, and

accordingly maintain its ownership interest in REC of

approximately 39.73 %.

The subscription has been made on certain conditions

as described in the prospectus.
