Recommendation from the Nomination Committee of REC Silicon ASA

The Board

The Board of Directors of REC Silicon ASA shall, according to the company's articles of association, consist of between 3 and 12 board members. The current board has three shareholder-elected directors. The Board of Directors consists today of Tae Won Jun (Chairperson) (elected 7 August 2025) and independent directors Renate Oberhoffer (elected 7 August 2025) and Vivian Bertseka (7 August 2025).

The nomination committee has been informed that the Chairperson, Tae Won Jun, has requested to resign from the Board of Directors for personal reasons, effective from the time when the general meeting of REC Silicon ASA elects a new Chairperson.

The Nomination Committee believes the Board shall maintain the current number of members. Consequently, after discussions with relevant shareholders, the Nomination Committee unanimously recommends that Mr. Jong Wook Park is elected as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors. Mr. Jong Wook Park, having consented to act, is proposed elected for a period until [the Annual General Meeting to be held in 2027]. The Nomination Committee believes Mr. Jong Wook Park has the qualifications, expertise and experience to act as Chairperson, underpinned by his extensive experience in strategy and planning functions within the materials and advanced industries sectors and involvement in strategy development.

No other changes to the board are proposed.

Position: Head of Strategy Team, Strategy Planning Office of Hanwha Corporation

Education: Ph.D. in Management of Technology, Sungkyunkwan University (2015), M.D. in Metallurgical Engineering, Korea University (2004), B.S. in Materials & Metallurgical Engineering, Korea University (2002).

Other: Work experience – Head of Strategy Planning, Hanwha Total, Chief Strategy Officer, LG Energy Solution, Corporate Strategy Division, LG Corporation, Research Institute, LG Chem and professional research personnel at EHWA Diamond
