Sub: Record date for Payment of interest to the holders of Tax Free Bonds issued during FY 2012-13, 2013-14 & 2015-16.
Dear Sir/Madam.
Rural Electrification Corporation Limited, "Company" had issued Tax Free Bonds in the nature of Secured Redeemable Non-Convertible Debenture having benefit u/s 10 (15) (iv) (h) of the Income Tax Act 1961 through public issue/ private placement mode in financial year 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2015-16, the interest payment date for some of these bonds is due on December 1st of every year and on maturity the interest will be paid along with Redemption amount.
The details about REC Tax Free Bonds issued through public issue $&$ private placement mode during FY 2012-13 (Tranche I & II), FY 2013-14 (Tranche I & II) and FY 2015-16 (Series 5) on which interest is payable on December 1st, 2018 is as under :
